A striking pair of tall vintage silverplate candlesticks, standing approximately 12″ high without candles. Their substantial height, broad stepped bases and elegant urn-shaped upper sections give them a much stronger presence than typical tabletop candlesticks.

The design has a wonderful architectural quality, with elongated tapered columns, restrained linear detailing and dramatic curved candle cups. They look especially impressive fitted with long taper candles on a dining table, mantel, console or wedding tablescape.

These are genuine vintage pieces with visible age and wear — not newly restored or replated.

Their generous proportions make these an excellent choice for someone looking for substantial statement candlesticks rather than a small decorative pair.

⚠️Condition

These candlesticks show considerable vintage wear to the silverplate, and the condition is reflected in the price.

Most notably, there are areas of silverplate loss and darkened exposed base metal, particularly around the urn-shaped upper sections and narrow neck areas. There is additional scattered plate wear, surface scratching, tarnish, small marks and other signs of age throughout.

Please examine all photographs carefully, particularly the close-up condition images, as they form an important part of the description.

Despite the plating loss, the pair remains very decorative and impressive when displayed, particularly because of their unusual 12″ height and strong silhouette.

I have intentionally not refinished or replated them, preserving their authentic vintage character.
